This summer, Brighton Montessori will offer an exciting Summer Day Camp Program for children aged 2½ though 6. The program is open to all Brighton Montessori students, their siblings, and any friends or neighbors, on a first come, first serve basis. For returning students, it's a great time to reconnect with old friends. If your child is enrolling as a new student for the 2010-2011 school year, the summer program offers an excellent opportunity to become acquainted with our school environment.

Theme related activities are planned to meet the developmental needs of young children. Each day will include a balanced mix of learning and play, active and quiet, as well as individual and group experiences. The indoor and outdoor activities will incorporate science and art projects, stories, games, songs and snacks.

This Years Themes

Amazing Animal Adventures June 21-25

Campers will learn interesting facts about the animal world. Various animal facts will be introduced. Specially designed art projects and snacks will support the camp’s theme focusing on the animal life.

Storybook Adventures July 19-23

Each day this particular adventure will explore a particular story or book. Activities will include unique craft projects related to the chosen children’s literature of the day, dramatic play activities, cooking, and music.

Yoga, Movement, and Motion Adventures August 9-13

This creative physical movement camp is designed especially for the young child. It includes physical activities including basic Hatha postures, parachute play, obstacle course challenges, and much more active fun.

Your child may sign up for any or all of the three themed based weeks. Each camp will run Monday through Friday from 9:00 till 11:30 am. The cost for the 1st week is $125. If you register for more than one week, each camp will cost $115 per week. A non-refundable deposit of $75 for each week must be paid at the time of enrollment.
